Christmas has come and gone and the new year is here. That means the Christmas decorations will be going back into storage (if they haven’t already). With those gone, it may seem like your house is missing something. Instead of leaving your house as a blank slate until the next holiday rolls around, add some winter charm to warm you
Maybe you miss your holiday garland. If that’s the case, a magnolia leaf alternative is a perfect way to brighten up your mantel and bring some non-Christmas greenery back into your home.
During the holidays, many throw pillows get a Christmas update and now that those pillows are back in storage, the regular throw pillows won’t cut it for the winter. This is a very easy DIY that adds a cozy winter touch to your decor and also makes the most of those old sweaters you don’t wear anymore.
Do you use Pinecones as part of your Christmas decor? Save some room in those storage boxes by wrapping yarn around those pinecones and place them in a bowl for a great seasonal centerpiece.
Add some instant warmth, both visually and physically by adding faux fur.
One simple way to add some sparkle to your home is to include a great mirror. Not only will it cast more light throughout the room but it will also serve as a great replacement to the Christmas-themed mantel.
You probably don’t leave your Christmas lights up all year long. With the shorter days, it makes for a dark and uninviting front porch during the winter. However, ice lanterns allow you to take advantage of the cold weather, illuminating your porch in perfect winter fashion.
Even though Christmas has come and gone and your decorations are being put into storage for the rest of the year, that doesn’t mean you can’t decorate your house for the winter!
